This Afro-Cuban dance is one
of the three parts of therumba traditionally performed on the cajones. It is a slow to medium tempo
duple meter style and is danced by male-female couples
but does not include Vacunáo of the Rumba Guaguancó.

Dance of fertility native to
Congo, in which the movements of the pelvis suggest the
sexual act. These movements (the vacuano) are still used today by the
salsa lovers (¡ Ay que rico!).
